New Mexican people and the Gila are quiet possibily two of the best things about the CDT
- deer kills
- fresh deer stew and burritos from hunters
- hot springs
- Gila cliff dwellings
- abundent generocity from the New Mexican folk
- home-made ice cream
- And too much more to type

VLA stands for “Very Large Array.” It’s probably one of the most creative name I’ve ever heard. Basically there are all these radar dishes in a Y-shaped configuration AKA an “Array”
But more importantly it’s where that Jodie Foster movie Contact was filmed.
Kinda cool to see…I guess…

Try and google the “Toaster House” + Pie Town, NM. It is this amazing place where Nita opens her house (where she or no one else longer lives) to strangers traveling all across the country on bikes, feet, cars, etc.
